We had a great turnout for The Real Rock Cafe’s “Movie Night” February 27th that was held at Christian Community Fellowship in Fremont, Ne. The audience enjoyed the film, “Pay It Forward.” A movie about a young boy who proposed that we could change the world if people would choose three people to perform random acts of kindness for. There was a discussion after the film about how we can change our community by reaching out to one another.
We have found a new building to use as The Real Rock Cafe’. It is located at 641 N. Broad Street in downtown Fremont. Activities planned at The Real Rock Cafe’ will include: Free Concerts, Game Nights, Bible Studies, and Movie Nights. We also plan to have a food pantry and clothing closet for those struggling in the community. At the time of this writing we are working with a real estate agent and hopefully be able to open sometime in April 2010.
Go M.A.D. (Go Make A Difference)
Saturday, March 27th we will continue our Go M.A.D. concert series at Christian Community Fellowship 1640 W. Military Ave. Fremont, Ne. 68025 featuring the band fROM dUST
fROM dUST has been playing shows as a semi-regional band for several years, bringing their music as well as an edgy spiritual message to their audience… Seasoned & experienced, fROM dUST has been privileged to share the stage with artists like Skillet, Day of Fire, Stellar Kart, Jonah 33, Crystal Myers, & Remedy Drive, to name a few.
These guys gave an authentic & heartfelt performance at the Dinner & Concert fundraiser we held January 30th so we are pleased to have them return to share their rare talent and energy that reflects the spiritual fervor that drives them.
Doors will open at 6:00PM with music starting at 7:00PM. There will be a $5.00 admission charge to cover expenses. Refreshments and treats will be available. Children under 12 Years old are admitted free.
We have been encouraged by all of the people who have showed interest in volunteering to help open The Real Rock Cafe’ but there still remains a lot of work to be done in order to reach our goal. We need your help in order to fulfill the vision God gave us for a Christian coffee house ministry in Fremont. Therefore; we would like to encourage other ministries as well as businesses in the community to be involved. With more community involvement we can make a real difference in Fremont.
Aside from the donations we will receive from the community, we will soon be able to make online donations in exchange for merchandise. All online donations will go directly into an account that will help add to the funding of the Real Rock Cafe’. We also have merchandise order forms available.
We are excited about the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead. I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish. If you can support us in a financial way, we would be very grateful.
